Farming Partners is proud to announce the launch of its Farm Manager Graduate Programme—a structured and immersive development pathway designed to prepare talented, ambitious individuals for leadership roles within grass-based dairy farming. As the business continues to expand its footprint, the new programme reflects Farming Partners' deep commitment to growing people as well as profitable, sustainable farms.
Open to recent graduates with a strong interest in agriculture, animal science, agri-business, or related disciplines, the programme offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning the core principles of high-performance, grass-based dairy farming. Over the course of 24 months, participants will work across a range of Farming Partners’ operations, taking on real responsibility from day one while being supported through a tailored training and mentoring framework.
At the heart of the programme is a clear progression pathway: from team leadership to assistant manager, and ultimately to full farm management. Graduates will rotate through different aspects of dairy operations, including grassland management, youngstock rearing, animal health, calving, breeding, financial planning, compliance, and people management. They will also take part in structured workshops covering key technical and leadership skills, and will have access to expert mentors, performance reviews, and learning resources throughout the programme.
One of the key strengths of the Farming Partners model is its partnership-based approach—and this ethos extends to the graduate programme. Graduates are not just employees; they are treated as future business partners. The programme is designed to fast-track individuals who demonstrate capability, drive, and alignment with the company’s values into long-term roles with shared responsibility and potential financial upside.
Participants will also benefit from group outings, peer discussion groups, study tours, and the opportunity to engage with a wider community of like-minded professionals. This creates a dynamic and supportive environment that promotes growth, challenges thinking, and exposes graduates to best practice on a national and international scale.
This new initiative comes at a time of growing opportunity in agriculture—but also increasing complexity. Farming Partners recognises that the future of the dairy industry depends not only on land, livestock, and capital—but most importantly, on people. Through this programme, the business is investing in those who will lead the sector into a more sustainable, innovative, and resilient future.
Applications are now open for the first intake of the Farm Manager Graduate Programme. Farming Partners welcomes individuals who are passionate about farming, eager to learn, and ready to step into a role where they can make a real impact.
